The purpose of this work is to create a program for the development and modernization of the Central part of the city. Naro-Fominsk will get a modern and comfortable urban environment for living and a new look.

At the moment, the city has unique conditions for active development. The picturesque Nara river is the compositional axis of the city. Its banks will be transformed into a single public park space with walking and cycling routes. In the very center of the city is an abandoned silk factory. The historic buildings will be preserved and become part of the new city center. The new city square with public functions and cafes on the ground floors will become the center of attraction and unite the existing parts of the city. The existing city highway will be transformed into an avenue with circular traffic, organized parking lots, pedestrian crosswalks, bicycle paths, landscaping and wide lighted sidewalks with cafes and shops.
