The main potential of urban development resides in undeveloped and abandoned industrial areas, surroundings of transport hubs and zones bordering either natural territorial complexes or heritage protection territories. Therefore in the area considered we can identify 3 principal types of ‘growing points’ (kind of drivers for their neighbourhood redevelopment): nature frame, heritage protection zones and transport frame. Renovating the area around the nature frame will ensure an urban environment comfortable for life and work – by means of a nearby landscaped park providing a variety of activities.

Description
The project stipulates redeveloping the city territories around cultural heritage sites – architectural ensembles and monuments. Listed buildings are to fully integrate into urban life by being assigned various functions. A well-designed urban environment is to be arranged by developing streets as social spaces with lively ground floor zones. It is suggested that areas bordering on transport hubs are modernized and transport interchanges enhanced. New centres of attraction performing social and business functions and new urban social spaces are to be created.
